Those Who Trust Yahweh
1. God is a SHELTER for those who trust in Him vs. 1-4
a. God is Lord vs. 2
b. Delight in the people of God vs. 3
c. Freedom from false worship vs. 4
2. God is the SECURITY of those who trust in Him vs. 5-8
a. Contentment vs. 5-6
b. Guidance and Stability vs. 7-8
3. God is the source of SATISFACTION of those who trust in Him vs. 9-11
APPLICATION QUESTIONS
1. Is it okay to enjoy things other than God (family, friends, possessions, etc.)? When do they become idols?
2. Do we delight in fellowship with the saints or do we find them annoying and hard to get along with?
3. In what ways is Psalm 16 Messianic?
4. Can others tell that our delight is in the Lord? Do we enjoy talking about the Lord? Do we make it a priority to spend time alone with Him? What hinders you from fully delighting in the Lord?
5. How much pleasure and enjoyment do you find in the Christian life? Consider Romans 5:1-10. Note the three-fold occurrence of rejoicing.
6. Give some practical ways God's Word can guide us. What about the following areas of life: money, children, death, worldviews, and sin.
