1. Habakkuk contemplates the character of God vs. 3-6

2. Habakkuk contemplates the work of God vs. 7-15

3. Habakkuk's resolve to joyous trust in God vs. 16-19

APPLICATION QUESTIONS

Children

1. What does it mean to contemplate? Give some examples of how we contemplate on a daily basis?

2. Discuss with your children how God is at work in the world today? Give them some concrete examples from Scripture.

Parents

1. What does it mean to be a heavenly-minded Christian?

2. Biblically, defend how God is for His own glory? Doesn't that seem to be selfish?

3. Summarize the message of the Old Testament in a sentence or two. The New Testament? The whole Bible?

4. How can we resolve to have joy in the Lord in the midst of crisis? How does God empower us to do this?
